Emily Courtz

Emily began exploring floral design in 2012 when she became an intern at a small, organic flower shop in Santa Cruz, CA.   It wasn't long before she realized that this was not her work, it was her passion.   She combined her art and creative background with her love of flowers and began creating unique and breathtaking designs.

Within a year she moved back to her native Bay Area and landed a full-time position at a floral design shop in Lafayette.   It was during this time that she perfected her craft and within 9 months was promoted to Lead Designer and Wedding Consultant.  Over the course of the next year she designed 15 weddings and numerous private events.  Since then, Emily has established herself as a master of design, combining art and flowers to create beauty that reaches the soul.

Em's style evokes a lush, overflowing garden full of movement, interesting textures and imperfect, yet elegant form.  She designs with the seasons in mind, finding the most exquisite, fresh and sustainable blooms that are available the in the lovely Bay Area.

Emily would love to work with you, on whatever your occasion.  Check out more of her work and follow her on Instagram:  @flowergirlem.  You can contact her directly at emily.courtz@gmail.com

Em looks forward to getting creative with you!

Client Testimonials:

Mother of the Bride, 9/6/14 Wedding. Google Plus Review " Emily from Floret is so talented! Our daughter was married on 9-06-14 in San Francisco, I really had no idea what to expect of wedding party flowers or table decorations. Emily created the most beautiful arrangements, soft yet whimsical, she is really good. During the reception many of the guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were. I highly recommend Floret and especially Emily for any event.
